US
General Information
AquaNet's Administrative Centre is located at the Ocean
Sciences Centre at Memorial University of Newfoundland. The Centre for Aquaculture and Environmental Research at the University of British Columbia is the Network's core facility on the Pacific Coast.
AquaNet is one of 21 Networks
of Centres of Excellence (NCE), Canada's science and technology
program to mobilise Canada's research talent in universities, industry
and government to create new economy jobs, stimulate growth and improve
the quality of life for Canadians. The NCE program is administered and
funded by the Natural Sciences and
Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Canadian
Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Social
Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), in partnership
with Industry Canada.
