Presentation Awards

Building research capacity within the aquaculture sector through knowledge and technology exchange and the continued training of highly qualified aquaculture personnel are key goals of AquaNet. AquaNet graduate students and post-doctoral fellows attending AquaNet V, the fifth annual general research conference of AquaNet, will make oral or poster presentations of their current research findings. These presentation sessions are an opportunity to share research results and receive valuable feedback from a diverse audience.

The following poster and oral presentation awards were presented during AquaNet V:

  1. Executive Scientific Director Award

    Presented to the individual whose presentation best exemplifies the underlying research principles of AquaNet: evidence-based management of risk, promotion of innovation and respect for traditional and local knowledge. ($300)

  2. Best Poster Presentation Award (1st and 2nd Prizes)

    Awarded to a graduate student OR post-doctoral fellow whose poster presentation of a current research project best addresses AquaNet’s research principles of innovation and reducing risk and uncertainty in Canadian aquaculture and effectively communicates research approach and findings.

  3. Poster Presentation Industrial Partnership Award (1st and 2nd Prizes)
