Every autumn, AquaNet holds its Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference which allows all the members of the Network and interested parties to acquire information on the progress made in different projects and to continue the networking through various activities (scientific presentations, workshops, group meetings, poster exhibition, special events, etc). In addition, AquaNet holds or co-sponsors science forums, workshops and events to determine research priorities, disseminate research results to the user community and fellow scientists, and provide education and training opportunities.

The 2005 Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference AquaNet V took place during October 18 - 21, 2005 at the Hotel Grand Pacific, Victoria, BC.

Over 130 delegates (researchers, students, AquaNet committee members and representatives from industy, government and other organizations attended AquaNet V.
