Conditions Governing AquaNet Grants
All AquaNet grants are subject to the following conditions:
- All awardees must sign Appendix C of the AquaNet Network Agreement. If you are a new Investigator to the Network, please contact the Administrative Office (709-737-3245) to obtain a form: complete and return it as soon as possible.
- It is the responsibility of the awardees to work out an agreement with their partners, if applicable, to determine ownership of any potential Intellectual Property arising from their research;
- Network Investigators should recognize that AquaNet funds are awarded on a project basis. Any major deviation from the proposed research such as in methodologies and experimental species must be approved by the Research Management Committee;
- Funding from AquaNet should be acknowledged in all publications arising from your project.
- A final report on your project including training of HQP and dissemination of research results and other deliverables will be required within six (6) months of completion of the project.
- If there are funds remaining in your research account at the end of the fiscal year (2003-2004), a maximum of 20% of the amount awarded may be carried forward into 2004-2005. Funds remaining in excess of 20% will be frozen until the Network has had a chance to review budget requirements on each account early in the 2004/05 fiscal year.
